Handbook

For competitors and teams

Everything a team needs in order to enter a competition on this site. You do not need an account and there is nothing to install — a team is entered by filling in one form.

1. Finding a competition

Contest lists every published competition, newest first, each marked Entries open or Entries closed. Open one to read its details, see the teams that have already entered, and find the entry form.

Being listed is not the same as taking entries — several divisions stay on the site after they close, so read the label. The home page links straight to whichever division is open, if any is. Nothing is hidden behind a login: if you cannot see it, it has not been published yet.

Open a competition and you get its artwork, the full details, and — where the organisers have attached one — a rules pack to download. From there, Register takes you to the entry form and Team list shows who has already entered.

2. Entering your team

Open the competition and use its Register link. One form covers the whole team.

  • The team. Its name, and the province or country it represents.
  • A contact. Someone the organisers can reach about this entry.
  • Every crew member. Name and date of birth for each one. The date of birth decides which age category the team falls into, so enter it accurately.

If something is missing the form tells you which field and keeps everything else you typed. It never clears the form and makes you start again.

Enter the team once. If you submit twice you create two entries, and an organiser has to remove one.

3. What the form asks for

One form covers the whole team. It is in four parts, and the page names the competition and division you are entering at the top so there is no doubt which one you are filling in.

  • Team — the team name, country, a mobile number and an email. Everything about the entry is sent to that email address, so check it twice. The mobile is digits only, with a + and country code for a number outside Thailand; no spaces or hyphens. The email may not contain spaces.
  • Coach — their name and date of birth, both required. Two buttons copy them to the crew leader or to a member row if the coach is also one of those. Being the coach alone is never charged.
  • Members — Member 1 is the crew leader. A name and date of birth per crew member, between 3 and 15; the first name and date of birth of the first three are required. Where the fee is per head, every member row is a head.
  • Dates of birth are in A.D. (e.g. 2001), never a Buddhist Era year and never a later year than this one.
  • The age appears beside each date of birth as you type it, so you can check an age limit without working it out. It is only shown — the age recorded against your entry is worked out again when you submit.
  • Waiver — you must tick it. Read it: it covers your participation and the use of your name and likeness.
  • Review — pressing Review entry sends nothing. You see the whole entry and the fee worked out (per head × heads = total), then Edit to go back or Confirm registration to send it.

Fields marked * are required. If something is wrong the page comes back with the reasons listed at the top and everything you typed still in place — you never have to fill it in twice.

There is no login, no confirmation email to click, and no way to edit an entry afterwards from this site. If something needs changing, contact the organisers.

4. What happens next

You will see a thank-you page. That is not yet a place in the competition. An organiser reviews the entry and confirms it.

Once your team is confirmed it appears on that competition's team list, which anyone can see. If it has not appeared after a reasonable time, contact the organisers rather than entering again — a second entry makes it slower, not faster.

5. On the day

Teams perform in a running order set by the organisers. A panel of judges scores each routine, and an adjudicator separately records any rule infringements as penalties.

Nothing on this site needs to be done by a team on the day. Scoring happens in the organisers' own system.

6. Results

A team's score is the judges' marks combined, with the adjudicator's penalties subtracted. The organisers publish standings when a round is finished and checked — figures are not published while judging is still open, because they would still be moving.

7. Common questions

Click a question to open it.

Do I need an account to enter?
No. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to install. A team is entered by filling in one form, and nothing on this site is hidden behind a login.
How many crew members can be in a team?
Between 3 and 15. Choose the number at the top of the form and the member rows appear beneath it.
The competition I want is listed but says “Entries closed”.
Then it is not taking entries, even though the poster in the picture says REGISTER — the picture is artwork and the label beneath it is the live state. Several divisions stay on the site after they close so that the team list and the details remain readable.
I made a mistake on the form. Can I fix it?
Not from this site — there is no login to come back to. Contact the organisers with what needs changing. Do not enter the team a second time; two entries make it slower to sort out, not faster.
I sent the form. Are we in?
Not yet. The thank-you page means the entry arrived. An organiser then reviews and confirms it, and only then does the team appear on the competition's team list.
How long does confirmation take?
That is the organisers' call, not something this site decides. If your team has not appeared on the list after a reasonable time, contact them.
Where do I pay?
Not here. The organisers contact the crew leader at the email address on the form with the next steps and any payment details — which is why that address has to be right.
Why can I not see my team on the list?
Either it has not been confirmed yet, or it is entered in a different division from the one you are looking at. Several divisions share the same competition name; check the division line.
How is the score worked out?
The judges' marks are combined and the adjudicator's penalties are subtracted from the result. The organisers publish standings once a round is finished and checked.
Is there anything to do on the day?
Nothing on this site. Teams perform in the running order the organisers set, and the scoring happens in their own system.

8. If something is wrong

My team is not on the list.
It has not been confirmed yet, or the entry did not go through. Contact the organisers before entering again.
A crew member's details are wrong.
Contact the organisers. Teams cannot edit an entry after it is submitted; an organiser can.
The competition I want is not listed.
It has not been published, or entries have closed.
The form will not submit.
Look for the message naming the field it is unhappy with — it is usually a missing date of birth. If the page has been open a long time, reload it and fill it in again.

For anything else, the organisers are on the Contact page.
